G2G (Generation to Generation)
|G2G (Generation to Generation) provides interactive activities for middle school and high school students with the JAA community and residents. We also partner with schools and youth / teen groups in our area. Through them, we sponsor inter-generational volunteer opportunities that bridge these groups and the JAA.|
Teen Leadership: The G2G Junior Board needs your voices and ideas. Connect with your peers and help shape the future of G2G. Leadership training required.
School Ambassadors: Represent your middle school or upper school as a G2G liaison. Be part of establishing a meaningful program specifically for your school that will take place during the school day. Also, help with recruitment for our monthly Sunday activities.
Fashion Show: Love clothes and beauty? Come to our on-campus salon for makeovers and a G2G fashion show with our stylish seniors.
Art Club: Drawing, painting, and creating galore! Try new techniques and make projects with seniors.Who knows, you might be the next Picasso or Van Gogh.
Current Events: Chat with our residents about events taking place in the world around us. Journey into interesting discussions and learn from our seniors’ experiences.
Shabbat: Join our seniors for Friday services. Provide company and conversation.
Music & Wellness: Learn, listen to, and play calming music to relieve the soul. Participate in a meditation, a drum circle, and learn to play an instrument with seniors.
Tailgate Party: Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, oh my! Host a G2G tailgate party to get our residents excited for the big game.
Cooking & Baking: Love getting your hands dirty in the kitchen? Join our residents to prepare meals for seniors and families in need.
Book Club: Travel to far-off lands and other times through exciting books! Read, discuss, and reflect on new and classic novels with the input of seniors.
Lessons of a Lifetime: Share wisdom with the next generation. This is a special opportunity to hear our seniors’ stories and document their life lessons.
Gardening Club: Dig deep into history and plant new seeds for the future. Create and help maintain a garden with seniors while growing new friendships.
Creative Writing: Are you creative? Do you enjoy developing new ideas and writing? Participate in a creative writing session while interacting with our enthusiastic seniors!
Technology Tutors: Constantly on your phone or computer? Use your skills to teach seniors how to communicate on social media, email, and surf their way through the 21st century.
