JAA Gets Around With Two New Vehicles

You’ll be seeing more of us around town thanks to two colorful new vehicles donated to JAA by a generous family.

The accessible van (shown here) provides free transportation services to seniors with medical needs who are having  rehab therapy at our PT@JCC facility, located at the Jewish Community Center, 5838 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA  15217.  Neither a JCC membership nor doctor referrals are required to schedule therapy at PT@JCC.  Most insurances accepted.  Call for hours and appointments: 412-697-3505.

We also have a new bus that can hold up to six wheelchairs. Its upbeat graphics make it obvious that this vehicle is specifically used to take our residents off campus for activities like visiting area attractions, enjoying meals at restaurants, going on shopping expeditions, and much more.

Having our own transportation opens up a world of possibilities for our seniors to enjoy Pittsburgh and all that the region has to offer them.

Neither of these vehicles would be available were it not for a resident’s family recognizing that quality of life and the ability to get easily from here to there are extremely important to all seniors. Thanks to this family, getting around is much more reliable and fun for the residents at JAA.
