Dear Residents, Families, and Staff,
It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Director of Nursing at the JAA’s personal care residence. My name is Denise McClellan, RN and I bring more than 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including extensive service as a Nurse Manager and clinical leader. Since joining the Jewish Association on Aging in 2018, I have been privileged to work closely with seniors, honoring their unique histories and life experiences while ensuring the highest standards of care.
Throughout my career, I have developed a comprehensive background in clinical practice, nursing management, and staff leadership. I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability—ensuring that our nursing team feels both supported and empowered to provide the very best care to our residents.
I am currently the Director of Nursing at AHAVA Memory Care Center of Excellence, and I look forward to caring for 30 additional residents while working across both residences. As I begin this new chapter, I am excited to help shape the future of our personal care community. My vision is to create an environment where residents feel safe, welcomed, and a true sense of belonging—a refuge where I would trust the care for my own loved ones.
I look forward to collaborating with our residents, families, and staff to strengthen our commitment to compassionate, person-centered care. Together, we will continue to build a community defined by trust, dignity, and respect.
