My name is Joyelle Bateman and I am a Registered Nurse. I joined the Jewish Association on Aging (JAA) in 2018 after working for many years in hospital settings, primarily caring for individuals with cardiac issues.
Since coming to the JAA, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in several roles, including Admissions Nurse and Unit Manager at Charles Morris. Just a few months into my time here, I stepped into the position of Infection Control and Education manager, where I’ve supported all departments in meeting the necessary education requirements and sharing best practices in infection control and prevention.
I’m also a certified American Heart Association CPR instructor and a Pennsylvania Department of Human Services-approved trainer, qualified to certify individuals as medication technicians.
Earlier this year I had the privilege to act as the Interim Director of Resident Care at Weinberg Terrace. Now, I’m incredibly proud to play an important part in the JAA’s history by becoming the Executive Director of our new Personal Care residence! It’s an honor for my team and myself to provide high-quality, individualized care to all of those who entrust us, in a beautiful new facility. We look forward to serving our residents with creativity, compassion and thoughtfulness.
