Miss Nora Day Proclaimed Across Pittsburgh

We had a party to celebrate Nora Morant’s 70th Work Anniversary

Here’s how WTAE-TV covered the celebration.

August 16 was proclaimed Miss Nora Day throughout the City of Pittsburgh. JAA celebrated Nora Morant’s 70th anniversary with a beautiful luncheon on Friday, August 16th. Miss Nora was brought to the campus in a limo and shared the day with her family and her many adoring fans  at JAA. She was showered with gifts, including cash  to take to several local casinos and Las Vegas! Congratulations to Nora on her 70 years at JAA!

From her City of Pittsburgh Proclamation:

WHEREAS, Miss Nora is nationally recognized as the longest tenured employee in long-term care, having devoted 70 years to JAA including 25 years as Chapter President for her local SEIU chapter, and diligently caring for, cleaning, and tending to clothing and linens for JAA community members; and,

WHEREAS, although she has not begun to contemplate retirement, the staff, board, families, and community members have faith she will remain at JAA for 70 more years.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, William Peduto, Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh, in honor of her 70th anniversary of employment at JAA, do hereby declare August 16, 2019 “Miss Nora Day” here in our most livable City of Pittsburgh. Cheers to 70 years, Miss Nora.
