The last few weeks have been busy at JAA. We are thrilled to report that all recent COVID tests of residents and staff have returned NEGATIVE results for which we are very grateful. The next round of universal testing across JAA takes place the week of October 26.
With this good news, we are able to revisit our plans for reopening Charles Morris, starting with Step One which involves communal dining for our residents.
At AHAVA, Weinberg Terrace, and Weinberg Village, regulations regarding steps and timing for reopening are different from the nursing home. Each of these communities are at different stages in the reopening process.
Outdoor, open-air visits are being phased in and, as the weather begins to get cold, we hope to introduce indoor visits soon at pre-determined neutral zones within our communities.
We remain vigilant because just one positive case of the virus within a JAA community means reopening will be halted in that particular community.
Families and friends of loved ones residing at JAA will be learning more soon about changes in visitation.
