While living and learning at the JAA during their dorm renovations, Yeshiva students engaged with our Ahava residents and Anathan members. Among them, 16-year-old Pittsburgh native Mendel Marcus captivated Anathan Adult Day attendees with his remarkable musical talent. Mendy volunteered to play the piano many times throughout the school year, delighting our members who couldn’t resist tapping their toes and clapping along. This talented and humble young man, who will soon be moving on to rabbinic studies in New York, clearly felt that he received more than just the accolades of his audience. He enjoyed the opportunity to give back, sharing his skills and appreciating his ability to make others feel good.
We extend our heartfelt best wishes to Mendy as he embarks on his journey to New York and remind him that he always has an open invitation to the JAA!
