Thursday, June 24, 2021. It was a night like no other. Clear skies, cool temps, being together again, experiencing live entertainment under the stars.
JAA’s Annual Art of Aging Benefit event featured a Drive-In at Heinz Field with Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez who thrilled the crowd with songs from Hamilton, Wicked, Yentl, plus many more.
Appearing live from her living room off, off Broadway (New Jersey to be exact), Mandy shared her warmth, talent, and ability to belt out a tune on the giant video screen in the stadium’s Gold Lot. Guests were treated to a cooler filled with light dinner treats, then watched the concert from their cars and lawn chairs scattered throughout the parking lot. A duet with Mandy and JAA’s Sylvia Booker singing “For Good” made the night complete.
JAA thanks all our guests, both ticket buyers who attended the Heinz Field event and those who elected to watch the show from home. The event relies on sponsorships from many loyal donors who open their hearts (and wallets) to support JAA’s ongoing care and services for seniors within southwestern PA.
This blockbuster event was chaired by a dedictated committee who put safety first but never lost sight of how much fun the crowd could have outside under the stars. Thank you to Jamie Blatter, Jan Engelberg, Lynette Lederman, Anne Witchner Levin, Mitchell Pakler, Judy Tobe, Lisa Weinzetl, and Robin Zukerman for their hard work and commitment to JAA’s mission.
