At the beginning of August, Kim West stepped into the position of activities director at AHAVA Memory Care Center of Excellence. This was a seamless transition since Kim has worked at JAA for 14 years as an activities assistant at Weinberg Village. She has already gotten to know the residents at AHAVA and has formed strong bonds with them. Residents and their families love Kim’s creative ideas and her big heart!
Kim worked closely with the former activities director at AHAVA and received training from The Hearthstone Institute prior to starting in this role. She is excited to plan fun and engaging activities, one of which will include a meet-and-greet with the staff so the AHAVA staff and residents get to know each other even better.
Kim’s favorite part of her job is connecting with residents and getting to know them on an individual level. In true Kim fashion, she visits her former residents in Weinberg Village during her breaks and after work. Kim is a welcome addition to AHAVA and we are so happy to have her at JAA!
